Turning Job Rejections Into Opportunities: How I Learned from a Feedback and Grew Stronger
The amount of rejections I have received since the beginning of this year is tiring on the soul.
I was so angry at the previous one that I nearly, emphasis on “nearly”, lashed out at the email, so I just swiped right and deleted it.
Then I sat down and was meditating and praying on why.

I was expecting another email and I was already anticipating the rejection. This time, I wanted to take control of my feelings.
I crafted and saved what my reply will be.
Here is a sample of what I sent:
Thank you (name of sender) for the above email.
I must confess that this is a generic way to reject the application of someone who believes she is qualified for the job.
Could you tell me specifically why my application was rejected?
This will help me improve my skills and experience for the future.
Thank you.

So, when the generic rejection email came as expected, I simply copied my response, pasted it and sent.
Then a detailed reply came on why I was rejected.
I understood their response perfectly.
It was a breathe of fresh air.

I should have given general answers instead of narrowing it down to their product + other things.
I went over what I submitted and their feedback, corrected my answers and saved, waiting for six months time when I can re-apply for that role again.
